Justice for All Series 2025–2026
- Our Safeguarding Commitment
CS-GS CIC, through the Justice for All Series 2025-2026, is committed to fostering informed, respectful dialogue while creating courageous and safe spaces, both online and in person. We uphold a commitment to ensuring that victims and survivors are partners in our work, treated with dignity, and that their autonomy is absolute. We pledge that harm, past or present, will be neither repeated nor ignored, and we remain accountable to the survivor community in everything we do.
This document outlines the Safeguarding Policy for CS-GB CIC, an organisation set up to lead the design, development and delivery of the Justice for All Series 2025-2026. This policy exists to ensure that the Justice for All Series does not replicate any harms and instead models bestpractice safeguarding.
- Purpose of this Policy
This policy sets out how CS-GS CIC, through the Justice for All Series 2025-2026, will:
- Protect victims, survivors, attendees, speakers, staff, and volunteers from harm
- Prevent retraumatisation, exploitation, harassment, or abuse
- Provide clear reporting routes for safeguarding concerns

- Safeguarding Principles
Justice for All’s safeguarding approach is guided by the following principles:
- Survivor centred: Survivors’ needs, safety, and choices come first
- Trauma informed: We recognise the impact of trauma and avoid practices that may cause harm
- Consent based: Participation, storytelling, and engagement are voluntary and informed
- Power aware: We acknowledge the risks created by status, authority, or access
- Zero tolerance: Harassment, victimblaming, intimidation, or exploitation will not be tolerated
- Confidential and accountable: Concerns are handled sensitively and responsibly
- Safeguarding Risks
We recognise there are heightened safeguarding risks due to:
- Survivor testimony and sensitive subject matter
- A highprofile venue and audiences
- Power imbalances between participants given diversity of attendees
- Media and press interest, and online exposure. Media and press are prohibited from approaching survivors or speakers directly. All interview requests should be channelled through the Safeguarding Lead or a designated officer (PR/Comms Lead) to ensure consent is truly informed and not given under pressure in the moment.
- Digital engagement and content sharing. Survivors have the right to withdraw consent for the use of their digital testimony or image at any time. We commit to removing such content from our platforms within 48 hours) of a request.
Risks may include emotional distress, retraumatisation, harassment, abuse of influence, or misuse of survivor content. These risks are actively mitigated through this policy.
