Hosted in the Great Hall of the Old Bailey | Marking a decade of UN SDG 16
Why This Moment Matters
This landmark series marks the 10th anniversary of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. It is a timely opportunity to assess a decade of global progress in promoting inclusive societies, expanding access to justice, and strengthening institutions that serve the public good. As the world looks ahead to 2030, the series invites stakeholders to explore what can be achieved in the next five years to realise the full ambition of SDG 16.
A Platform for Serious Dialogue
Held in the Great Hall of the Old Bailey—one of the most significant civic spaces in the United Kingdom—the Justice for All series brings together a carefully curated group of decision-makers, practitioners, and contributors from the legal, political, corporate, academic, and voluntary sectors. These evening sessions are designed not as traditional conferences, but as high-level forums for practical dialogue, reflection, and commitment to change.
Anchored in the City of London
The City of London stands as a global hub of legal, financial, and civic leadership. With the event taking place at the start of the legal year, it provides a unique opportunity to convene senior members of the judiciary, legal innovators, and civic actors from the UK and abroad. These discussions will focus on justice reform, rehabilitation, institutional accountability, and the role of business in upholding social responsibility.
Drawing on Legal Heritage
The series is delivered in collaboration with the Magna Carta Trust and will commemorate the 800th anniversary of the 1225 Magna Carta. As a symbol of civil liberties and justice reform, its legacy underpins many of today’s democratic legal systems. By grounding forward-thinking discussions in this historic moment, the series seeks to bridge past and present in the service of a fairer future.
