Overview of Health and Safety Policy
The purpose of this policy is to provide a framework for maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. It applies to everyone involved in the planning and execution of the Justice for All Series 2025–2026 events.

The Justice for All Series 2025–2026 consists of 5 events which will all take place in the Old Bailey, Central London, which is owned and administered by the City of London Corporation. All the Justice for All Series 2025–2026 events taking place in the Old Bailey will be subject to the City of London Corporate Health and Safety Policy.

The City of London Corporation’s Corporate Health and Safety Policy (the Policy) is the overarching occupational health and safety policy setting out their commitments to achieving positive health and safety outcomes for the whole Corporation. The Policy’s purpose is to support fulfilment of their strategic aims and objectives, the provision of excellent services, a vibrant thriving destination and flourishing public spaces.

The City of London Corporation’s health and safety objectives are as follows:

  • To facilitate the fulfilment of legal and other requirements.
  • The continual improvement of health, safety, and wellbeing performance.
  • The achievement of Corporation-wide and local business area health, safety and wellbeing objectives with a credible and transparent health and safety management system.
  • Integration of the health and safety management system with strategic and operational functions of the Corporation.
  • To support a health and safety management system and framework that enable good management of health, safety and statutory wellbeing risks and opportunities.

CS-GB CIC manages workplace health and safety risks to prevent accidents and work-related illness at the Old Bailey, Central London in line with the objectives outlined above.

Scope of Policy
The Policy covers all City of London Corporation (CoLC) employees, including agency staff, volunteers, and anyone working under CoLC’s control. It applies to all locations, activities, facilities, and services managed or influenced by the business area.

The Policy also affects other groups such as Members, students, residents, tenants, visitors, and the public who use or engage with CoLC’s services, properties, and amenities. The Policy is also applicable to the CS-GB CIC, who are hosting the Justice for All Series 2025–2026 events at the Old Bailey, Central London, and their stakeholders including attendees, sponsors, speakers, facilitators, exhibitors, and volunteers.

The Health and Safety Objectives
CS-GB CIC is committed to upholding the City of London Corporation’s Health and Safety objectives as above and will:

  • Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Provide adequate control of health and safety risks.
  • Consult with everyone involved in the Justice for All Series 2025–2026 on matters affecting their health and safety.
  • Provide information, instruction, and supervision for employees.

How We Uphold the Objectives
We will achieve our objectives through the City of London Corporation who conduct regular risk assessments, provide training and resources, maintain equipment, and foster a culture of safety awareness.

  • Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
  • Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
  • Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
  • Local authority regulations
  • Industry best practice
