Our Commitment to Respect and Inclusion
We are committed to ensuring that the Justice for All Series is a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all. Discrimination, harassment, or victimisation in any form will not be tolerated. We welcome participants of all backgrounds and expect everyone to treat others with dignity, courtesy, and respect. If you experience or witness any inappropriate behaviour, please speak to an organiser or contact us at committee@justiceseries.org immediately.
1. Purpose and Scope
The Justice for All Series (“the Series”) is committed to creating a professional, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff. This policy sets out our zero-tolerance approach to discrimination, harassment, or victimisation in any form.
2. Our Commitment
We value diversity and are committed to ensuring equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of:
- Age
- Disability
- Gender identity or reassignment
- Marriage or civil partnership status
- Pregnancy or maternity status
- Race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin
- Religion or belief (including philosophical belief)
- Sex
- Sexual orientation
- Socio-economic background
- Political belief (within the boundaries of lawful expression)
These protections apply both in law and in the spirit of our commitment to fairness and respect.
3. Application to the Event
This policy applies to all aspects of the Series, including but not limited to:
- Event promotion and ticketing
- Selection and treatment of speakers and panellists
- Access to facilities and services during events
- Audience participation, networking, and social functions linked to the Series
4. Accessibility
We aim to ensure that our venues, materials, and activities are accessible to all participants. Where specific needs are identified in advance, reasonable adjustments will be made to ensure full participation.
5. Behavioural Standards
All attendees, speakers, and staff are expected to:
- Treat others with courtesy, dignity, and respect
- Refrain from any form of discriminatory language, conduct, or microaggressions
- Engage in debate and discussion in a respectful and constructive manner
- Comply with venue rules and safeguarding procedures
6. Reporting and Response
Any incident of discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour should be reported to the organisers immediately, either in person or via committee@justiceseries.org.
- All complaints will be taken seriously, handled confidentially, and investigated promptly.
- The organisers reserve the right to remove any individual from the event without refund where behaviour is found to breach this policy.
7. Monitoring and Review
We will review this policy annually or after each Series to ensure it remains effective and reflects best practice. Feedback from attendees will inform any changes.
8. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
